Agreement
By accessing this website, submitting an enquiry, or entering into a reservation with Sandfontein Lodge & Nature Reserve (“Sandfontein”, “we”, “us”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or proceed with a booking. Specific rates, dates and cancellation terms confirmed in your booking correspondence or invoice may apply in addition to these general terms.

 

Reservations & payment

All reservations are subject to availability and formal confirmation by Sandfontein. Deposits, balance due dates and accepted payment methods are communicated at the time of booking. Until you receive written confirmation (including by email), no contract exists.

Cancellations & changes

Cancellation, amendment and refund rules depend on your rate, season, and how close the change is to arrival. The policy that applies to your stay is the one stated in your booking confirmation. If nothing else is specified in writing, please treat all deposits as non-refundable unless we agree otherwise.

Access, driving & length of stay

Sandfontein does not permit day visitors. A minimum stay of two nights applies. Self-driving on the reserve is not allowed; transfers and on-reserve transport are arranged as communicated at booking. You are expected to follow arrival instructions and safety briefings from our team.

Health, safety & conduct

Wildlife, dirt roads and weather carry inherent risks. You participate in activities at your own judgement and must follow guide instructions. We may refuse service or require you to leave the property if behaviour endangers people, animals or the environment or seriously disturbs other guests.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in Namibia, Sandfontein is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for loss or damage to personal property, except where such limitation is not permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Force majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform where caused by events beyond our reasonable control (including natural disasters, civil unrest, epidemics or major infrastructure failure). We will use reasonable efforts to offer alternatives or refunds where appropriate.

Website & intellectual property

Text, images and design on this site belong to Sandfontein or our licensors. You may not copy or redistribute them for commercial use without permission. The site is provided “as is”; we do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Namibia. Subject to mandatory consumer protections, the courts of Namibia have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
