Sandfontein Lodge & Nature Reserve (Pty) Ltd (“Sandfontein”) is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.

 

When you visit our website, make an inquiry, contact us via social media or make a booking with us either directly or via a third party, you trust us with your information. 

How do we use your personal information?

We use your information to discuss an inquiry, process a booking, communicate with you and provide you with information related to any news or specials that Sandfontein has to offer.  We are committed to protecting the privacy of any personal information you give to us and we will never share your personal information with third party marketing companies.

 

What we collect

We will collect information such as:

  • Your contact details including name, address, country of residence, email address and phone number

  • Your bank or card details

  • The names of any additional guests

  • Name and age of children who travel with you

  • Your arrival and departure time

  • Dietary, mobility / disability or room requirements

 

Information we share

There are certain circumstances where we may transfer your personal data to employees or to third parties.

  • We share information about you with employees at Sandfontein and they are bound to keep your information in accordance with this privacy policy.

  • We may also share your information with certain service providers with a business need to know.  They may process your personal data for us, for example, a booking made on a partner booking site.  Other recipients/service providers may include IT systems specialist, booking engine, and accountants.

  • Our suppliers and service providers will be required to meet our standards on processing information and security and the information will only be shared so that they may carry out their role.

  • If we are required to share your information by law.

 

Data Security

We want to keep your data safe, which is why we’ve put in place appropriate security measures to prevent it being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an authorised way, altered or shared. 

All members of staff are provided with their own secure login and password, and every computer regularly prompts users to change their password. The security of Sandfontein’s computer and storage systems, and access to them, is continuously monitored.

 

We have put in place procedures to deal with any suspected personal data breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a breach where we are legally required to do so.

Unfortunately, sending information over the internet is not completely secure.  We will do our best to protect your personal data but we cannot completely guarantee the security of your data.
